A thirty year-old prank resurfaced this week when the UW Hoofers Club cobbled together all of the old pieces this week. It's very cool to see (particularly at night). If you're in Madison, head to the student union and check it out!

I received an email from a head hunter for an "Electro-Mechanical Reliability Engineer" position. Not only do I not know what that is, but I have no Electro, Mechanical, or Reliability skills in my toolbox.
But boy, if I was one of these fancy engineers, I'd have a hard time with all of these acronyms (not to mention learning about this thing they call annalyses)!
Provide reliability and maintainability analysis: MTBF, FMEA, MTTR, FTA and related annalyses. Perform reliability, maintainability, system safety, diagnostics/testability, human factors and logistics engineering tasks. MIL STD familiarity a plus.

We cleaned out the school backpack over the break. We found the show-and-tell entry for 'A'. Yes, that's an apple, and I'm both thrilled and surprised that my wife had the foresight to put it in a zip lock!
